Openings

rose

The little seed cowered under ground,

As her friends called from above,

It is warm here with the shinning sun,

Won't you join us?

And the little seed answered,

I like the dark and earth,

I shall stay here,

Her friends called again,

The water is sweet

It nurtures your roots to bloom.

And the little seed answered,

I do not want to bloom,

I like being small in the earth.

And her friends called,

Your roots will embrace the earth and hold you firm,

As the wind strokes your cheek.

And the little seed answered

I do not like being exposed to the world,

For any to do what they may with me.

And her friends answered

Open

Blossom

Dazzle

Amaze

And you will find that earth is never far away holding you secure.

And the blossom

Stretched

Reached

Climbed

Spouted

And as the sun warmed her

And the water fed her

And the earth held her

She opened.
