Floathouse

boathouse

“Dad we have a fish on! “ I said.

As soon as we got the fish on, we let it flop on the deck because we saw three bears, a mom and two cubs on the beach. I wanted to go closer, but my dad thought it would scare them away.

My dad, brother, and me were going to Camp Coogin to visit my dad’s friend at his float house. On our way there, we fished. We caught two king salmon. Our first one was 20 pounds; our second one was about 15 pounds. When we were pulling up to the barge, the boat died. It puttered down and stopped.

It took us about two hours to get it fixed. During that time, my brother and me fished. We kept the fish in a bucket. I caught two rockfish and seven perch. My brother caught five perch and two rockfish. After the boat was fixed, we ate steak and rice. I thought it was the best steak I ever had because I was really hungry.

When we were pulling in the dock at town, we saw a sea lion by our parking spot, so we turned off the boat and watched it for about five minutes. The sea lion was bobbing up and down and it was making funny noises at us.

We got home at about 11:00.Then we ate ice cream because that is what we do at the end of a good day. Today was really good day.
